The Role
This isn't just basic "mowing and weeding"—we are looking for people with a genuine interest or background in gardening to help with:
Walled Garden Restoration: Helping us reclaim and tidy historic garden structures.
Flower Beds: Pruning, deadheading, and revitalizing ornamental borders.
Veg Garden: Helping with the late summer harvest and preparing the soil for future seasons.
General Upkeep: Ensuring the estate grounds are beautifully presented.
Maintenance: Some basic painting or light repair work if the weather is on our side.
The Exchange
Hours: 5 hours per day / 25 hours per week.
Time Off: 2 full days off per week—perfect for exploring the island’s culture and beaches.
Food: 3 meals a day provided. Ingredients are supplied, though you will often cook for yourselves in the evenings while we are with our children.
Accommodation: Stay in a large, comfortable tent on-site, fully immersed in the peaceful estate environment.
Who We Are Looking For
Experience Required: Unlike our campsite role, we specifically need people with gardening experience. You should know your way around a flower bed and be comfortable working independently.
The Duo: Best suited for a couple or two friends traveling together.
Language: English as a first language is preferred for easy communication regarding plant care and estate tasks.
Atmosphere: We are a family-oriented estate, so we appreciate helpers who enjoy a friendly, grounded environment.
