🐝 Bees and the Vegetable Garden: live the rhythm of the Tuscan countryside

The experience

Activities change throughout the year. In spring we take care of the bees. Tomato cultivation also begins, with sowing in the greenhouse. In May the first important blooms for the bees begin, and transplanting of tomatoes and other vegetables into open fields also begins. In summer the activities become very intense. There is honey to harvest, tomatoes to can, preserves and jams to make. In autumn we also go to the markets, even on Sundays.

Program Details

Our project follows the breath of the seasons and offers a total immersion in rural life. It is not only about lending a hand, but about participating in a vital cycle: from greenhouse sowing to the care of bees during the major bloom in May. It is a path of sharing where each participant learns to understand the value of biodiversity, the patience needed for a good harvest and the art of transforming natural products. 🌻

Activities & Shift

The activities are dynamic and vary according to the weather and the time of year. The tasks include:

Spring: Sowing in the greenhouse, transplanting tomatoes 🍅 and vegetables.

Summer: Honey extraction, care of the plants and preparation of preserves and jams 🍯.

Autumn: Support in preparing for local markets.

Always: A hand in cleaning the shared spaces.

Rules

We ask for love of nature and deep respect for our bees 🐝 and animals. It is important to have a good capacity to adapt to the rhythms of outdoor life and precision, especially during honey extraction. The cleaning of shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom and common areas) is a collective commitment to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone. No specific experience is required, but lots of curiosity and willingness to learn!
