Help teach children at our community learning center
The experience
Our project is run by Global Compassion Foundation, led by President Sudip Chakma. We support children during their off-school time by providing basic education, especially English speaking and learning support. Volunteers help teach, engage in activities, and share knowledge while experiencing local culture and making a meaningful impact in the community.

Program Details
Our English learning center is a newly established initiative, and we are still in the process of developing our facilities. We may not yet have fully equipped classrooms, advanced teaching aids, or extensive educational materials. However, we strongly believe that meaningful learning can happen through simple methods, creativity, and human connection.
We welcome volunteers who are adaptable, understanding, and passionate about contributing to a growing community project. Your ideas, creativity, and willingness to engage with children can make a significant difference, even in a simple learning environment.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers usually help for around 3–4 hours per day, 4 days a week, mainly in the afternoon or early evening when children attend the learning center.
Typical activities include:
1. Assisting children with basic English speaking and communication.
2. Helping with reading, writing, and simple lessons.
3. Supporting small group learning and interactive activities.
4. Organizing creative sessions such as drawing, storytelling, and games.
5. Encouraging a positive and friendly learning environment.
As our center is still developing, volunteers are encouraged to use creativity and simple methods to engage children without relying on advanced teaching materials.
The schedule is flexible and may vary depending on the number of children and ongoing activities.
Rules
We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment for children, volunteers, and the community. All volunteers are expected to follow these guidelines:
General Conduct :-
1. Respect local culture, traditions, and community values at all times.
2. Be punctual and committed during agreed working hours.
3. Communicate openly with the host regarding schedules, concerns, or needs.
4. Maintain cleanliness in living and working spaces.
Working with Children :-
1. Treat all children with kindness, patience, and respect.
2. Always maintain appropriate behavior and language around children.
3. Volunteers must work under the guidance of the host and not take full
responsibility for children independently.
4. Physical punishment, harsh language, or inappropriate interaction is strictly not allowed.
5. Respect children’s privacy (no posting photos/videos without permission)
Lifestyle & Responsibility :-
1. No alcohol, drugs, or inappropriate behavior during the stay or in the project area.
2. Follow agreed schedules and inform the host in advance if time off is needed.
3. Be flexible and understanding, as this is a developing community project.
We value mutual respect, cultural exchange, and a genuine willingness to contribute positively to the learning environment.
