Program Details
This program is a community-based surf initiative in Kertasari that brings participants together with local surfers to support youth development through surfing. Rather than leading activities independently, volunteers work alongside local mentors during sessions, helping to share knowledge on surf safety, ocean awareness, and global surf culture.
The program is grounded in mutual learning and cultural exchange. Participants contribute their skills, experiences, and perspectives while respecting local traditions and community values. Beyond surf coaching, volunteers engage with residents through informal interactions, knowledge-sharing activities, and community events. Ultimately, the initiative aims to promote sustainable, community-based surf tourism that supports local livelihoods while preserving the cultural identity of the village.
