Program Details

We are looking for a responsible and dog-loving volunteer to help take care of our 2 Dobermans in El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, from June 24th to July 17th. We provide free accommodation, car use, and optional surf lessons in exchange for help with feeding and walking the dogs.

Activities & Shift

The main tasks are feeding the dogs twice a day and taking them for walks 4 times daily. Longer walks are usually in the morning and afternoon (around 45 min), while midday and night walks are shorter for toilet breaks. After the morning walk, the dogs should be fed around 9am. In the evening, they should be fed again around 8pm after the afternoon walk. The dogs are friendly, active, and used to routines.

Rules

We are looking for a responsible volunteer with basic dog knowledge who is comfortable with two large Dobermans. The volunteer should love dogs, understand basic safety and feeding rules, and know that some foods are not suitable for dogs. Since you will mainly share the house with the dogs, it is important to keep good personal hygiene and maintain a clean living space for both yourself and the dogs.
