Program Details

One of our main projects is creating a small outdoor area, there is a small outdoor toilet that is currently in disrepair. We’d love support transforming into something a bit larger and functional as a basic bathroom space, so any experience with basic construction, plumbing, or DIY building is very valuable.

Activities & Shift

Our project is centered around improving and nurturing our outdoor space. We’re looking for help with landscaping, gardening, permaculture ideas, planting, and some light external construction or carpentry. Occasionally, we may also appreciate support with childcare. We’re open to people who enjoy being hands-on, creative, and working with nature.

We ask for around 4 hours of help per day, with a minimum commitment of two weeks (or until a project is completed). In exchange, we offer a warm and welcoming environment where meaningful human connection is valued. You’ll be included in shared meals, have access to local recommendations, and opportunities for learning, creativity, and movement.

Rules

We are a family-oriented home that values a calm, respectful, and grounded environment. While we enjoy good conversation, connection, and shared experiences, we are a non-alcohol household and not party-oriented.

Our children attend school, and our days tend to start early, so we appreciate a rhythm that supports this lifestyle. We’re therefore looking for people who are considerate, respectful, and comfortable in a more peaceful home setting.

To maintain this atmosphere, we ask that noise levels are kept low in the evenings, with no excessive noise on the premises beyond 11pm.

You’ll have open access to the kitchen between 9:30am and 10:00pm, so you can prepare your own meals and eat according to your needs and schedule.
