Program Details
Volunteers will stay in private houses. We have one house with five bedrooms and another one with one bedroom, suitable for a couple or a single person. We offer varied and interesting work opportunities where volunteers can learn practical skills and experience rural self-sufficiency while enjoying comfortable accommodation.
We are a family of two adults and five children living on a one-hectare homestead where we grow fruits and vegetables. Volunteers are welcome to join our daily chores, mainly focused on gardening. We also operate a small sawmill, produce our own firewood, and carry out a variety of indoor and outdoor construction projects.
Activities & Shift
The tasks depend a lot on the volunteer’s skills and interests. We offer work related to gardening, fruit and vegetable growing, and construction.
We need help with both heavy and rough tasks, such as moving stones and handling firewood, as well as work that requires attention and care, including:
- Rough construction work
- Normal-grade construction work
- Fine construction work
- House maintenance
- Gardening, such as watering, harvesting, pulling weeds, and applying weed mats
- Landscaping, including moving stones and gravel
Rules
Above all we need family-friendly behavior.
