Program Details

This opportunity is designed for people who want much more than simple volunteering. In exchange for 30 hours of weekly contribution, participants become part of the Nexus Puritas Academy environment and gain access to lessons, workshops, trainings, and the daily educational life of our international community in Spain.

The main focus of the academy is Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI): the study of the relationship between the nervous system, psychology, stress, trauma, lifestyle, emotions, nutrition, environment, and physical health. Participants learn how thoughts, habits, emotional states, relationships, movement, sleep, and daily life directly influence the body, immune system, hormones, and overall wellbeing.

Alongside this, participants will also experience yoga, pranayama, Tai Chi, movement practices, and for those who reach the appropriate level of discipline and responsibility martial arts and self-defence training.

This is a practical and immersive learning environment rather than passive theory. Participants live inside the rhythm of the academy and community while developing both knowledge and real-life experience.

For people who stay long enough and show genuine commitment, responsibility, and integration into the project, there is also the possibility of progressing toward certification and eventually becoming facilitators within the academy themselves.

The Nexus Puritas Academy program begins in cycles throughout the year. The next cycle starts on June 21st, which is the ideal moment for new participants to join the educational program. However, people are also welcome to arrive one or two weeks earlier as regular volunteers in order to integrate gradually into the community before the academy cycle begins.

Activities & Shift

Participants contribute around 30 hours per week to help support the smooth functioning of the community and academy environment.

Tasks may include:
– gardening and outdoor work
– caring for rescued animals
– cooking and cleaning
– DIY and maintenance projects
– organisation and support during academy activities
– helping maintain calm, clean, and respectful shared spaces

The daily rhythm is generally organised with a morning work period from 8:30 to 13:00, followed by academy lessons and activities during the afternoon. The second contribution period usually takes place from 17:30 to 19:00.

Outside of responsibilities, participants are able to attend lessons, workshops, and educational activities connected to the academy and community life.

Weekends are free apart from minimal shared household responsibilities.

Rules

Our environment is built around responsibility, respect, discipline, cooperation, and healthy living. We maintain a vegetarian/mostly vegan environment and do not allow drugs, smoking, alcohol consumption, violence, or disrespectful behaviour.

We are looking for people who are:
– emotionally stable and respectful
– open to learning and self-development
– capable of teamwork and shared responsibility
– adaptable to community life and structure
– willing to contribute consistently and proactively
– respectful of the students, residents, animals, and educational environment

Because the academy requires concentration and a stable atmosphere, we do not tolerate unnecessary drama, gossip, disruptive behaviour, or constant emotional conflict within the shared environment.

This experience is best suited for mature, motivated, and grounded people who genuinely want to learn, contribute, and grow through active participation in both community and academy life.
