JOIN A HANDS-OFF NGO IN THAILAND DEDICATED TO ETHICAL ELEPHANT TOURISM, EDUCATION AND CONSERVATION.

We are an NGO elephant sanctuary in Thailand focused on ethical tourism, education, and the protection of senior elephants. We are currently urgently looking for motivated volunteers to join our social media, marketing and tour team.

This is a unique opportunity to work inside a real sanctuary environment, support meaningful awareness work, and be part of an international volunteer team.
Our sanctuary is home to rescued senior elephants who now live freely in a natural environment.

We are fully hands-off – meaning no touching, feeding or bathing elephants under any circumstances. Our mission is education, not interaction. We aim to change the way people see elephant tourism and promote truly ethical wildlife experiences.

🌿 What We Do
-We run guided educational tours and awareness programs for visitors from all over the world.
-Volunteers help communicate our message: elephants are not for entertainment, but intelligent, sensitive animals that deserve respect and freedom.
You will also gain insight into Thai culture, teamwork in a multicultural environment, and the realities of conservation work in a remote setting.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers work around a structured but flexible daily schedule depending on tour demand and team needs. Work is split into different shifts throughout the day rather than one continuous block.

* Afternoon shifts (afternoon tours + visitor support)
* Occasional full-day shifts during busy periods
Tours usually last:
* Half-day tours: ~4 hours
* Full-day tours: ~7 hours (including break)
During peak times, there may be multiple tours per day, so schedules can vary.

Rules

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFO PLEASE READ ⚠️
- We need passionate, hard working and flexible volunteers who are able to stay 1 month. Unfortunately we are not able to accept volunteers who would like to stay less than 1 month because it takes a lot of time to train you and we need you to help train the next volunteers. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Arrivals are on the 1st and 15th of each month, this is very important because all the volunteers start training together.
- Volunteers over 21 years old only (this also means no families with children).

If you are looking for a free holiday we are NOT the place for you !!! We are looking for serious, dedicated and hard working volunteers. The work we do is very important, so we need passionate and motivated people to help us spread awareness. You will work 5 days a week, 5-6 hours per day depending on how busy the schedule is. The work hours are spread throughout the day, so do not expect to work 5h non stop and have the rest of the day off. Due to the nature of the tasks this is not possible.

It is for you if you:
✅ don't mind getting your hands dirty and working hard for 5h or more per day, 5 days a week
✅ want to be a part of a meaningful project that will definitely leave an impact on you
✅ wish to see elephants but with an ethical and respectful approach
✅ are eager learn more about elephants, ethical tourism and Thai culture
✅ would like to be a part of a big team (18-24 volunteers) and meet people from all around the world

❌ don't like living in a remote area and expect a city lifestyle
❌ are afraid of (wild) animals, small or big
❌ don't like repetitive meals based on noodles or rice
❌ can’t deal with the heat for a full month
