Program Details

This experience is designed for people who want to deeply immerse themselves in the educational and community environment of the Nexus Puritas Academy while living within an intentional international community in Spain.

The academy focuses primarily on Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI): understanding the relationship between the nervous system, stress, trauma, emotions, nutrition, movement, environment, lifestyle, and physical health. Students learn how thoughts, habits, relationships, sleep, and emotional patterns directly influence the body, hormones, immune system, and overall wellbeing.

Alongside the core PNI education, students also experience yoga, pranayama, Tai Chi, movement practices, and, for those who reach the appropriate level of discipline and responsibility, martial arts and self-defence training.

This is a practical and immersive environment rather than passive study. Students live inside the rhythm of the academy and community while developing both theoretical understanding and real-life application.

For long-term students who show commitment, maturity, and integration into the project, there is also the possibility of progressing toward certification and eventually becoming facilitators themselves.

The Nexus Puritas Academy program begins in cycles throughout the year. The next cycle starts on June 21st, which is the ideal moment for new participants to join the educational program. However, people are also welcome to arrive one or two weeks earlier as regular volunteers in order to integrate gradually into the community before the academy cycle begins.

Activities & Shift

Students contribute approximately 4 hours per day in lighter community responsibilities that help support the functioning and harmony of the shared environment.

Tasks may include:
– helping in the kitchen
– light cleaning and organisation
– helping maintain shared spaces
– light gardening or animal care
– assistance during academy activities
– other community support tasks adapted to individual capacities

The daily rhythm is generally organised with a morning work period from 8:30 to 11:00, followed by academy lessons, activities, and time to rest and recharge during the afternoon. The second contribution period usually takes place from 17:30 to 19:00.

This role is intentionally flexible and inclusive. We welcome people with physical limitations or disabilities and adapt responsibilities according to each person’s abilities and health situation. What matters most to us is sincerity, willingness to participate, and respectful integration into the community.

Rules

Our environment is based on respect, responsibility, cooperation, and healthy living. We maintain a vegetarian/mostly vegan environment and do not allow drugs, smoking, alcohol consumption, violence, or disrespectful behaviour.

We are looking for students who are:
– respectful and emotionally responsible
– open to learning and self-development
– capable of living harmoniously with others
– willing to contribute consistently within their capacities
– respectful of the students, residents, animals, and educational environment

Because the academy requires concentration and a stable atmosphere, we do not tolerate unnecessary drama, gossip, disruptive behaviour, or constant emotional conflict within the shared environment.

This experience is best suited for mature, motivated, and grounded people who genuinely want to learn, grow, and become part of a meaningful educational and community environment.
