Program Details

Reserva Caoba is a biological reserve with over 25 years of history, located in the Paso del Mango area near Minca, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta — one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. We host retreat groups, wellness programs, and conscious travelers seeking genuine contact with nature and a slower pace of life.

As a morning volunteer host, you will be an active part of the daily life of the reserve. Your role combines three areas of work: guest hosting at reception, garden care, and cleaning support of shared spaces. Each morning rotates between these tasks, keeping the work varied and grounded.

Beyond the tasks themselves, what we are looking for is presence and genuine care. This is not a high-volume hospitality operation. It is a living reserve where the quality of human interaction matters as much as logistics, and where the land itself is treated as something worth tending with attention.

You will be working surrounded by forest, birdsong, and mountain air, within a community that has been building and caring for this place for decades. Volunteers at Caoba are not extra hands filling gaps — they are part of the rhythm of the reserve.

This program suits someone who values slow travel, finds meaning in physical and relational work, and wants their time on the road to feel connected to something real.

Activities & Shift

Activities are in the morning, unless we agree something beforehand. Usually from 8 to 12.
