I highly recommend this place to anyone who is just starting their volunteering journey, as an English teacher, Imogen is incredibly understanding and skilled at explaining things, she always makes sure to speak clearly to ensure that there are no misunderstandings. She lives in a cozy and comfortable home and all the residents are very friendly. The tasks are simple and very flexible. The location is great, offering easy access to the train station and the city center plus, you'll always have the company of Lou, the family's lovely dog!!

My experience with Imogen and her family was incredible. I truly felt at home. Lincoln is such a beautiful and peaceful place, and it has now become very special to me. I loved helping Imogen and Roisin with whatever was needed, and the tasks were very flexible and organized day by day. I would definitely love to come back someday. Imogen was such a lovely and friendly person. This was my first volunteering experience, so I had quite a lot of worries and concerns, but thanks to Imogen, everything went smoothly and I truly felt at home. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who doesn't have much experience with travelling alone, to anyone who wants to spend a beautiful and peaceful time in a historic city while helping such a lovely soul, and of course to all dog lovers! :-D Thank you so much! ❤️

My only regret was that I didn't stay longer. What an inspiring person and what a sensational stay ! I felt so grateful that I wish I'd been able to work more because it really is a pleasure to contribute to Imogen and her family's lives. There's no shortage of respect, kindness, care, comfort and freedom here. Genuine connections are very important to me and I felt that everything was so honest... I'm really sorry to have missed the deadline for writing a review, because Josi is honestly the most wonderful human being and I am so very glad that she answered my post and came to stay with our family. Her visit was arranged 'last minute' and to fill a gap in my calendar coinciding with my 70th birthday party. Her contribution was absolutely invaluable. She was willing to turn her hand to anything and everything. I can't praise her enough! You won't find a better volunteer! Obrigada, Josi!

Our time with Imogen was truly amazing! She's a wonderful person who has taught us so much about British life and many other things. We helped in the house by cleaning cupboards and walking her super cute dog Loulou. Also had the chance to participate in two english lessons and meet many people. Imogen is also a great cook and very considerate - even when we made mistakes. Lincoln is a very pretty city with lots to do, and we also took a day trip to York which is close. Couldn't recommend this place more, it's a experience that will forever stay with us. Thank you for everything ❤️

It was a really lovely time. I met lots of nice people and I also had plenty of time to explore the beautiful city of Lincoln. I had time for that either in the mornings or afternoons, depending on when we were working. I really enjoyed working round the house and in the garden, and I also enjoyed taking Lulu for walks. The food was delicious too. I was also able to cook for myself.
