My volunteering experience was lovely! The working hours were always respected, the room was comfortable, and I had the opportunity to improve my Spanish with Carmen and Jorge, who were always very welcoming and kind to me. The area is peaceful but quite remote, so if you want to visit Madrid often, keep in mind that buses are limited and the journey takes time. I also enjoyed the cultural exchange with another volunteer, and of course, Tony, the sweetest and funniest dog! If you love animals as much as I do, you'll have a great time playing with him. I'll definitely miss him haha

I had a fantastic week with Carmen, Jorge & Tony! I was welcomed so warmly into their home and we had some really great conversations, boardgames and evenings out in the town. The renovation tasks were great, explained well and I always felt I could ask either of them for any help or questions about anything! The hours were respected, the bedroom was SO nice and the food was delicious. It was my first volunteer gig like this and I loved every bit of it and would highly recommend!! Come help put some love into their home :)

The daily tasks were fairly simple, though the only thing to keep in mind is that getting from here to downtown Madrid can be a bit of a hassle. Carmen's cooking was great, and I really enjoyed my evening walks with Doni anyway it was a good experience for me and l hope you guys all the best

I had a wonderful time with Carmen and Jorge! They welcomed me very warmly from the start and always made sure I felt comfortable. The hours were kept and the work schedule was very flexible. The tasks were a lot of fun. It was varied indoors or outdoors. They helped me a lot, gave me tips, cooked very tasty meals, and they have a very lovable dog. I enjoyed our nice and interesting conversations during meals. Highly recommended to get to know Spanish life and wonderful people.

We loved our time with Carmen, Jorge, and Tone 🐶❤️. From the first moment they made us feel at home. The food they prepare is delicious and every day they shared with us new dishes and incredible drinks. They were always attentive to make sure we felt comfortable and they helped us with everything. They were also very flexible with the schedules, which allowed us to visit Madrid and stay there, since it is a bit out of the way. We recommend this experience to any volunteer. We will miss you all a lot, especially Tone, our walks and games! Without a doubt, we would happily return❤

An awesome experience with Carmen and Jorge! They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely good people. We loved volunteering; we found the tasks fascinating to do, the area is very quiet and they have a beautiful dog! Practical tips: it's in a town on the outskirts of Madrid, so you need to organize well with the public transport schedules (combine local bus and train). The volunteering includes the arrival transfer, and for the day of departure, we suggest coordinating the logistics in advance in case you have to adjust to the town bus schedules. I am very happy to have shared my first volunteering experience with Carmen and Jorge. They are wonderful people; since day one they treat you really well and make you feel like you were at home. I am extremely grateful to them because even though I had no experience with the tasks, they accepted me and we learned together. I had fun, I shared and I learned so much from them. I hope to return 🥹.
The only thing that might be helpful for other travelers is to check the schedules for taking transportation, since the house is on the outskirts, but the atmosphere and the nature make you disconnect and fall in love ❤️.
