Program Details

Volunteers participate in every stage of the building process — from preparing materials and mixing earth plasters to testing techniques and helping shape real structures. We believe natural building is one of the most meaningful ways to reconnect with nature, community, and slower ways of living.

Alongside construction, we live collectively and share many aspects of daily life together: cooking, gardening, maintaining the land, workshops, discussions, music evenings, and community activities.

We follow a simple plant-based lifestyle focused on seasonal food, sustainability, and conscious living. Our land is surrounded by forests, hills, historical sites, and hiking trails, only a short distance from Tbilisi and Mtskheta.

This experience is ideal for people interested in:

earth building
ecological architecture
sustainable construction
permaculture
intentional communities
low-impact living
learning practical natural building skills
vegan lifestyle

No previous experience is required — only motivation, openness, and willingness to participate actively in community life and physical work.

Activities & Shift

Activities mainly focus on earth building, natural construction, gardening, and community life. Depending on the season and stage of the project, volunteers may help with preparing clay, sand, and straw mixtures, applying natural plasters, building earthen walls, testing natural building techniques, gardening, composting, cooking, and maintaining shared spaces.

Work is organized in small teams and usually takes place in two sessions per day, with breaks for meals and rest. We normally work around 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, while weekends are used to rest, explore the area, hike, or visit nearby historical sites such as Mtskheta and Tbilisi.
