Program Details

At our community-based project in Lombok, we welcome volunteers who are open-minded, respectful, creative, and genuinely interested in cultural exchange. We expect our Worldpackers to actively participate in teaching English in a fun, engaging, and supportive way for High School/diploma Students/students at course/students at boarding school. Volunteers are encouraged to bring positive energy, patience, and new ideas for interactive learning activities such as games, conversations, storytelling, music, or simple workshops. Consistency, responsibility, and respect for local culture and traditions are very important to us.
In return, volunteers can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they become part of our local community and family. We aim to create meaningful experiences beyond volunteering by sharing authentic Lombok culture, local food, farming activities, and daily village life. We are happy to exchange knowledge, introduce local traditions, and support volunteers during their stay so they feel comfortable and connected. This is not only a volunteering experience, but also an opportunity to learn, grow, and build genuine relationships through cultural exchange and shared experiences.

Volunteer activities are usually flexible and balanced to allow enough time for rest and exploration around Lombok.

Teaching sessions normally take place for around 2-3 hours per day, depending on the community schedule and number of students. Classes are generally held in the morning or afternoon, while evenings are free for personal time or cultural interaction with local families.

Volunteers have 2 days off per week (Saturday and Sunday) to relax, travel, or explore Lombok island. We value a friendly and relaxed atmosphere while maintaining commitment and responsibility toward the students and community activities.
