Program Details
We welcome volunteers who are passionate about helping children, supporting community projects, and experiencing authentic rural life in Uganda. Our goal is to create a meaningful cultural exchange where both volunteers and our community learn from one another.
Volunteers may assist in different activities depending on their skills, interests, and the current needs of the school and community. Common activities include helping teachers in the classroom, practicing English with children, organizing games and sports, arts and crafts, music, reading sessions, mentoring students, gardening, community outreach, photography, social media support, and assisting with simple maintenance or improvement projects around the school.
We usually ask volunteers to help for around 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week, leaving enough time to relax, explore the community, and enjoy local culture. Flexibility is important because village life can sometimes be unpredictable, and activities may change depending on school schedules or community events.
In return, volunteers can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they become part of our ministry family. We are happy to share our culture, local food, language, and daily life experiences. Volunteers will have the opportunity to interact closely with local children, teachers, and community members while learning about life in rural Uganda.
Accommodation is simple but comfortable, with a shared bedroom and common dining area. We can host up to three volunteers at one time. We encourage respectful behavior, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and a positive attitude throughout the stay.
Our hope is that every volunteer leaves with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and joy
