We are looking for a trustworthy person or a couple to help us gradually with the restoration of our family home on the north coast of Spain, in exchange for accommodation.
The house is located in Colunga, Asturias, one of the prettiest corners of northern Spain, surrounded by nature, spectacular beaches and charming fishing villages. The area is famous for places such as Lastres, Playa de La Griega, La Isla or La Espasa, in addition to its amazing Asturian cuisine, cider, fresh fish and routes between sea and mountains.
Something important: we do not live in the house during the stay. The house would be for you alone, with total tranquility and independence. Precisely because of that we are looking for honest, responsible and trustworthy people who understand that they will still be staying in a family home that we are restoring with a lot of effort and enthusiasm.

The house has approximately 130 m² and was built at the end of the 19th century. We are restoring it with a lot of care, but we have run out of budget to finish some parts of the renovation.
We have already completed an important part of the work. The house is perfectly habitable and comfortable to live in, although it is still under renovation.
Right now we mainly need help with:
- Interior painting
- Small repairs
- Sanding and varnishing some old doors and carpentry
- And some small simple jobs related to the house.
The kitchen is still awaiting renovation.
The main work would be painting, and we will provide absolutely all the necessary materials: paint, brushes, rollers, sanders, varnishes, etc.
We are not looking for professionals, but for careful, responsible people with some previous experience in painting or basic DIY.
The idea is not to work many hours. We would like whoever comes to be able to enjoy Asturias, the beach and the surroundings, dedicating approximately 1 to 2 hours a day to help with the house, always in a relaxed and pressure-free environment.
