Join our Dog & Cat Volunteer Program and make a real difference in the lives of rescued animals. Located just outside Bucaramanga, the shelter is home to more than 80 rescued dogs and 50 cats that have been abandoned, neglected, or rescued from difficult situations.
As a volunteer, you will help with daily tasks such as feeding, walking dogs, cleaning living areas, grooming, socializing animals, and assisting with enrichment activities that improve their well-being and chances of adoption. Above all, the animals benefit from the attention, affection, and companionship volunteers provide.
Beyond volunteering, you will experience the authentic side of Colombia. Stay in Bucaramanga, known as the "City of Parks," explore local culture, enjoy nearby mountains and nature, and connect with the local community. Optional Spanish classes are available through our language academy, making this program an excellent combination of volunteering, cultural immersion, and personal growth.

Activities & Schedule
The Dog & Cat Volunteer Program is designed to combine meaningful volunteer work with cultural immersion and personal development.
Volunteer shifts take place in the afternoons, where you will support the shelter team with daily tasks such as:
* Feeding and caring for rescued dogs and cats
* Walking and exercising dogs
* Grooming and basic animal care
* Cleaning and maintaining animal living areas
* Socializing and playing with the animals
* Supporting enrichment activities that improve the animals' well-being
Mornings are free and can be used to relax, explore Bucaramanga, work remotely, or join our optional Spanish classes. Many volunteers choose to combine the program with Spanish lessons to deepen their cultural experience and connect more easily with local people.
During the weekends, we offer a variety of exciting tours and activities throughout the region.
