This two-week program combines two unique animal volunteering experiences in the Bucaramanga region.
Week 1 – Dog & Cat Rescue Center
Spend your first week helping care for more than 80 rescued dogs and 50 cats. Activities include feeding, walking dogs, grooming, cleaning animal areas, preparing enrichment activities, and giving the animals the attention and affection they need while waiting for their forever homes.
Week 2 – Wildlife Rescue Sanctuary
During the second week, you will live and volunteer at a wildlife rescue sanctuary dedicated to rehabilitating native Colombian animals. Assist with food preparation, feeding routines, habitat maintenance, animal monitoring, and other tasks that support the care and recovery of rescued wildlife.
Volunteer activities take place mainly in the afternoons, leaving mornings free for optional Spanish classes or personal time. On weekends, enjoy some of Santander's highlights, including waterfalls, hiking trails, colonial towns, the Chicamocha Canyon, and world-class paragliding.
