Himarë has beautiful beaches and amazing scenery. If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, I recommend visiting during high season, as the town gets much quieter from mid-September onwards. The accommodation is simple but has its advantages, such as AC and a location right across from the beach. I had a great experience volunteering at the hotel. The location is beautiful, and I got to meet so many amazing people from all over the world — guests, staff and other volunteers. Arta's cooking was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of my time there! And a huge thankyou to Ivy for being so welcoming and kind from the beginning and putting up with me as a roomie. I had a really lovely experience at the hotel. Arta and Bebi were so kind, welcoming and always made me feel comfortable. The work was enjoyable, the hours were respected, and they were very flexible with days off, which was great for exploring the area. The location is amazing, close to the beach and everything you need. And a special mention to Ivy, who was honestly the best and always there to help and make everyone feel at home. I'm really grateful for this experience and would definitely recommend it!

I had a truly wonderful time with everyone at the replaced_content. Arta and Bebi and their whole family are lovely. The work was enjoyable and the hours are reasonable. The hotel and restaurant are in such a good location so you are near everything. I cannot say enough good things about staff member Ivy. She was truly the mom of the house. She was the support system and friend everyone needs when they are far away from home.

The place has an amazing location, right in the city center, close to beaches, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The work/hours are respected, I learned a lot while volunteering there. They are also extremely understanding about days off, in case you want to take a day trip somewhere nearby.
Arta does everything with great love and attention to detail, she and her family were always welcoming and helpful, thank you so much for everything during my time there.

Himarë is a beautiful place to volunteer, and the location of the accommodation & the hotel are perfect! I worked serving & bartending in the restaurant and I really enjoyed it. And the hotel guests are always very kind. It can be challenging sometimes when locals come in as some don't speak English so you have to get the owners, but it didn't bother me. Arta is one of the most hospitable, kind, helpful people I've ever met. I adore her. But to be honest, Bebi can be challenging to work with Overall I would recommend the experience but some things can get frustrating at times!

My month spent volunteering at the hotel was an experience I'll never forget. They do such a fantastic job of creating a warm and welcoming environment in an already cozy town. I worked with Arta in the restaurant serving breakfast, and the work was balanced and fulfilling. I got to try Arta's PHENOMENAL cooking and enjoyed meals cooked by Mosa as well. Bebi, Nisa, Mosa and Alma were also so friendly and welcoming, and helped me with everything I needed. The town itself is gorgeous, even in autumn. There's endless nature and history to explore. Already daydreaming about coming back!

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel working in the reception. The tasks were very simple and if you had any questions communication between hosts and other staff was very clear. Himarë is a beautiful town and I hope to be back one day!
