I volunteer as a Kitchen porter in the host and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had, all the staff make u feel like a Family, I was during all summer season and even when it got harder you can always get along with everyone there, I truly recommend being part of it at least once in the life in any position available, if you're good with people you'll find a little family here

Our stay at Roundstone was amazing. Working with Margaret was such a pleasure, she was kind and friendly, very fair with working hours, providing us with flexibility to work morning or afternoon and do day trips/ activities in between. The accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable for two people. The food (cook yourself) was nutritious, with Margaret providing fresh fruit, veggies, protein, carbs etc. We were able to borrow a kayak, gear to fish with and Margaret was kind enough to drive us to see amazing sights in the area. the host staff are super friendly and so is Daisy.

Volunteering in the kitchen taught me more than work and English. It showed me the value of patience, adaptation, and teamwork under pressure. In Roundstone, despite the challenges, I found a welcoming environment where respect and support made learning possible. I am grateful to the team and especially to Nicholas for his patience and kindness. This experience reminded me that volunteering is about caring, respecting, and growing together.

Thank you, Sasha, Buda, Rui, Tony, and Anna.

I will miss you all! ❤️

My stay at the host was incredible. The team was very welcoming, friendly and easy to get in touch with. Also Nicolas and Margaret were helpful and showed me everything I needed to know. The environment was heartfelt and openminded.
Nicolas really made sure I feel comfortable in my room and with the work I was doing, in addition he is open to compromises.
Roundstone is a small village, for more action I would go there in summertime, but if you are looking for a getaway to connect with yourself it's best to be there off season.

Thank you, for this unforgettable month.
I'll be back! :)

Excellent place to meet people from all over the world and practice English. The entire staff is nice. The manager, Nicholas, is very friendly. They even lend you a bicycle to explore the area. Roundstone is too quiet place sometimes but beautiful. It was my first experience as a volunteer, so I don't have another comparison, but I really enjoy my stay there.

My stay in Roundstone gave me the chance to get to know locals and a fabulous staff. The staff is from all over the world and is very friendly. You are quickly included in the team. I also appreciated the beautiful landscapes around!
Nicholas, the manager, gave me the opportunity to use a bike to discover the village. I used to walk a lot and I also visited Galway, Clifden and Wesport.
However, if you want to discover more things in Connemara, I would recommend you to get your own car.

Lovely nature around Roundstone and the host itself is a nice environment to be in. Hosts are welcoming and communicative. The work is enjoyable and straightforward and the accomodation equiped and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend the walk to Dog's Bay and the weather isn't that bad (for Ireland) !

It was a positive and interesting experience. I would do it again and I recommend it to everyone. The host is very available and flexible, respects the conditions agreed beforehand and still gives a lot of freedom.
Each day there is enough time to explore the surroundings of Roundstone and to get to know the local culture.
