I stayed at Quynh’s homestay for 3 weeks. It was my first volunteering experience, and I had a fantastic time with her, the kids from the village and her family! I had a few things to do in the morning and during the day, the host always included me in their activities. The main task is to teach a small group of children in the evening. They are around 5 years old, very cute and full of energy! Quynh is a very generous and flexible host, and she always made sure I had everything I needed. The homestay is a lively and lovely place, I would strongly recommend!

I had a great time at the farm, the host Quỳnh and her family were super friendly & very welcoming. The work was really easy, just a few hours teaching English and doing some general cleaning. I was the only volunteer and there wasn't a lot of work to do, so I had a lot of free time, but the family always included me in events, so I learned a lot about their day-to-day lives.

This place has been the perfect spot for a bit of relaxation and time away from the busy cities of Vietnam. The host Ha is extremely forgiving and friendly with everything, she also has 2 children who are extremely energetic and fun to be around. I would recommend anyone who likes animals as they have 2 extremely friendly dogs (1 which I have named bonsai along with a friend of mine) they also have chickens and bees which they've taught me how to treat in the Vietnamese way.

The experience itself was amazing just because of the host, who is very welcoming and very friendly human-being. I loved that we were given a task to do not depending on time, if you finish early, you enjoy the rest of the day. It is a really cultural experience, because you get to live with a local family and spend most of the time with them. I had to leave earlier than the time we agreed on and the host was very understandable. Overall, it was a very warm experience. Thank you!

Mario and Cristina are two of the best volunteers I’ve ever met. They take on every task with responsibility and genuine passion. Beyond their gardening work, they also stepped in to help with cleaning and reception, always willing and reliable.
The time we shared together created memories I will always treasure, and I truly won’t forget you both.
Wishing you a wonderful journey ahead and all the best of luck in everything you do.

Firstly when I arrived learnt that the host is operating the farm remotely from Thailand,Secondly the rules of the place weren't clear at all , she would text us volunteers thier tasks via WhatsApp and keep and eye on us with camera, micro managing the volenteers at her farm via cctv camera and whatsapp to do activities .It felt invasion of privacy all the time but I stayed thier because the english project was really good and amazing first time experience teaching to kid's for me.The father of host is War veteran an amazing gentleman, hosts brothers food is amazing, in end she was very rude .

Everything started well, but things changed at the end. A fellow volunteer and I extended for 7 days, but she was abruptly asked to leave based on false accusations. I felt it was unfair and decided to leave too. They disrespected me and made me pay for laundry and food on days off, claiming I hadn't worked, even though we worked 2 hours extra daily. They also moved me from reception to farming. Finally, they lied about me, but I have evidence. I do not recommend this place all this among many other things

Fish Farm replied

The work hours we only make volunteers work 4 hours daily or help with the cleaning and we moved you to farming because 2 volunteers were already receptionists so if 3 were receptionists everyone would just laze around waiting for customers and nothing would be done in time. And if the place wasnt good at all you already left why extend 10 extra days right 😉😉😉 anyway that is experience to learn about you!
