It was just me and Jon here. He’s a nice guy and makes an effort to provide for any requests. He let me ride his bike which was a lovely way to explore the beautiful Breton countryside.

The workload varied a lot from almost nothing to several hours. He was happy to explain when I was needed and when he wasn’t—though I had to ask as the work was changing. This slightly helped with feeling like I was on call.

The labour itself is almost literally lending hands; holding/lifting/carrying wood. I learned to use some tools and overall I was beyond pleased to be able to help build a house!
