There is so much to learn & see at the community. Allade takes care of you immediately with great food & a welcoming heart. But some issues were of concern. Her dog is aggressive & bit me. Allade took care of me but he lives inside after previously being outside. There was also family drama that intervened w volunteers. There are a good amt of bugs & dirt, but everyone contributes to cleaning shared spaces. The farm is secluded from town but Allade has 2 bikes for you to use whenever. The river is 100% a must go activity after work. I wish you the best Allade & thnx for having me!!

Tita is absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It's hard work but fun and immersed in the rainforest and once you're done you have the whole afternoon to yourself. Would definitely recommend!

My time at the community was by far one of the best farmstay experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived Allade treated me like I was part of the family & did everything she possibly could to make me feel comfortable & at home. The work was at times strenuous but always very satisfying. I definitely will be returning someday & would 100% recommend this opportunity to anybody looking for an authentic Costa Rican farm experience. Staying with Allade and her family has been amazing and I wish I could've stayed so much more. I immediately felt part of her family and everyone is so kind and welcoming. There are always many volunteers and it's fun to meet everyone and share all this time together. You get so much and help on the various projects : working in the garden, painting, decorating, helping Dani's kid daycare. The family is so great that you just WANT to help around and they always give you snacks, share stories, take you along to the river etc. It's been an incredible experience and I will miss you all so much!

It's hard for me to say goodbye to the guys; I've connected so much with them that I feel they are part of my family. I am grateful for everything they've helped me with and for allowing me to be part of their experiences.

I loved this volunteering experience! ❤️ The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and we had the opportunity to see so many animals, which made our stay even more special. Tita was simply impeccable, a wonderful, kind person, and always willing to help. We felt very welcome and enjoyed every moment a lot. I carry with me precious memories and a heart full of gratitude. Tita is a host I would recommend to any volunteer as a first experience and in general. She feels like family far from home, her food is incredibly delicious and she always has something fun to tell. Working on the farm was really wonderful; we learned a lot about plants, sustainability, connected with nature, and had the opportunity to see amazing animals from the first day. Our experience on the farm was beautiful, we learned a lot, but the best part was meeting Tati; she is an excellent person and from the first day she made us feel at home, with her hospitality and homemade food; she also helped us discover many places in the area. Tatii, you earned a place in our hearts, we love you very much!!
