I spent four weeks in Italy and had a really great time. Ilaria was a very nice host, and I felt very welcome with her and her family. I really enjoyed working with the other volunteers. We had a lot of fun and it was great to share our experiences and talk about the work. The work was hard at first, but I soon got used to it. The highlight for me were the animals. There were so many different animals, from dogs and horses to rabbits, and I loved spending time with them. I also loved the delicious food and the beautiful nature. It was an amazing experience that I will always remember.

Ilaria is truly an extraordinary woman! She is an amazing host, made me feel soo welcome and took such a good care of me throughout my stay! Work was fun, physical but easy. I loved how much time I could spend with animals. Her farm is remote but with breathtaking surroundings. I recommend staying with her 100%!

Pociano is a special place surrounded in a beautiful nature which will stay in my heart for a long time. Ilaria, her lovely family and friends made me feel like at home from the beginning. The atmosphere in the house was always joyful and people that I met there - the most funny, caring and loved. If you have experience the work is quick and easy so you have plenty of time for yourself. Pociano is full of animals and everyday you will have a chance to connect with horses. Ilaria is a wonderful person with a huge heart and I'm grateful that I had a chance to get to know her

My time here was very educational, and I was able to gain many new impressions. Ilaria welcomed me warmly, often cooked for me, or we went out to eat together. I was also allowed to take care of her horses and ride them, and I felt that she trusted me a lot. I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture in Italy and get to know her friends/ family. Although it was difficult for me since I only spoke English and no Italian, I would recommend that other travelers learn some Italian before. In the end, I am very grateful that I was able to spend my time there. Thank you Ilaria <3

The nature here is wonderful and the animals are truly sweet! Although socialization opportunities were somewhat limited, I used my time there to focus on myself. You should come prepared for a physically works, as the stable routine and apartment cleaning can be a little tiring. We agreed with the host that I would leave the project a few days early; however, I later had some difficulty communicating regarding the update of my dates on the platform. Nevertheless, being surrounded by nature and bonding with the animals was a joyful experience!

My experience in Pochano was just what I wanted: do physical work and be with horses. I worked with young horses which was very rewarding, I got to ride few times and enjoy beautiful nature. It was very fun to meet all friendly and amazing people during my stay and also learn a lot about italian (food) culture.

After all the work in stable is really physical but it gets easier when you get used to it, but also previous experience with horses and stable work is a big advantage. I really enjoyed my stay in Ilaria's home and I will come back later to see Mababka and all lovely people there!

My stay at the farm was amazing! It's the perfect place to learn about horses and to get in touch with nature. 🐴🌳 Even if the place is very isolated, you can go to Siena at some time. The house and the surroundings are sooo beautiful and Ilaria makes sure that you will feel at home. :) There are a looooot of animals everywhere - more than people, hehe. I didn't have a lot of horse experience before I came but that was okay - just be prepared for physical work (everyday haha). Greetings! ❤️

I felt warmly welcomed by Ilaria, her family, and friends. I joined their daily routine and learned about the local culture. The best part, though, is getting to interact with the horses every day and take care of them. When you first arrive, you can feel like it is a lot of information to take in, but after just a few days you start to recognize all the horses by name and get to know which ones are the most playful, the biggest eaters, the calmest. For animal lovers, it's heartwarming to see how well they're cared for. I'm very grateful for this unique and unforgettable experience.

Volunteering here was amazing. I helped with stable tasks like cleaning and feeding the horses, at first it might seem a bit heavy if you are not used to, but you quickly get used to it, and I found it very light. I rode a horse once and loved it, went to two of Ilaria’s dance classes, and she gave me a tour to Siena. The views and nature are stunning, and sometimes Wi-Fi is limited, which helps you disconnect. I felt very welcome, grateful for everything, and will miss it all, especially her dog Sky💗such a sweetheart
