Program Details
Our volunteer program is based in An Giang, a peaceful province in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Volunteers join a local community setting focused on cultural exchange and educational support for children. The goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment while offering an authentic experience of rural Vietnamese life. Volunteers become part of daily community life, sharing culture, routines, and values.
Volunteers receive a provided stipend of at least 1,000,000đ/week (C4C standard) for food support and stay in a private room accommodation. The position includes a maximum of 25 working hours per week with 2 days off per week, allowing plenty of free time for rest and exploration. We welcome volunteers who are interested in a long-term stay (recommended 12+ weeks), as this helps build stronger connections and impact within the community.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers mainly support English learning and basic educational activities for local children. This includes conversational English, games, reading, creative activities, and simple classroom support.
Working hours are a maximum of 25 hours per week, with 2 days off each week. Shifts are organized around school or activity schedules, typically a few hours per day. Afternoons and evenings are usually free for rest, exploration, or cultural experiences.
Rules
We expect volunteers to be respectful, responsible, and open-minded. Cultural sensitivity is important, as you will be working closely with children and local families. Appropriate modest clothing is required during activities.
Alcohol or disruptive behavior during volunteer duties is not allowed. Volunteers should communicate in advance if they cannot attend a shift and are expected to actively participate with a positive attitude.
We prefer long-term volunteers (12 weeks or more), as this allows for better connection and impact. Please note that couples are not accepted for this placement.
