Program Details
We are a group of people who in 1984 chose life in a community, ecological farming, clean energy and holistic education in nature. All of this with a firm commitment to the deep development of the human being, consciousness and, of course, love for the planet and for the beings that inhabit it. During our journey we have been improving and expanding the crops for human consumption and for animals (goats, sheep and dogs). We have created a bakery, a dairy, an oil mill and we have craftspeople and artists among us.
Our activities also focus on offering spaces for courses and trainings but above all, in daily life, we are a farm whose task management is done according to the needs of the moment. This implies the ability to be flexible, even when it comes to routine tasks (weeding, cutting vegetables, preparing firewood...!). We all speak Spanish and French (the community is formed by about half Francophones) and also English and German.
You cannot come with a pet.
If you want to experience and share a community life in nature this is your place.
Activities & Shift
In summer, we get up early and work only in the mornings. We have the afternoons free.
Rules
❖ Respect for our way of understanding daily life (moments of rest, eating habits...), and for the organization of the community (schedules, planned activities...). As we are many we have certain matters to respect, otherwise communal life would be very difficult.
❖ Respect for the spaces and the arrangement of things (rooms and common areas), leaving them in good condition after use.
❖ Open and flexible collaboration. The stay on the finca on weekends implies participation in the shifts in which we all participate.
❖ For private use of all material and communal spaces please check with a member of the community.
❖ Energy is one of our most precious resources; it is not possible to use high-consumption appliances such as hair dryers and irons, and the rest should be used in moderation. For this reason we do not have a washing machine. For the same reason we have placed a limit on the use of laptops, until 10 p.m.
❖ We do not have a public phone and the companies that provide good coverage are Movistar, Digi…..
❖ Inside the finca drugs are not allowed. We do not consume alcohol, only wine and beer on Saturday nights (we offer the first glass and the subsequent drinks are paid). Only one area is permitted for smoking. Nudism cannot be practiced.
❖ We like animals, but we remind you that we do not accept dogs or other pets.
❖ Please bring a sleeping bag, towel, sun protection and hat (from May onwards it is highly recommended), flashlight and gloves to work in the garden. From mid-June to mid-September: swimsuit and another towel.
It is recommended not to come in spring if you suffer pollen allergies.
