This experience was about so much more than volunteering; it was about the people, the friendships, and all the little moments that made Budapest feel special. The experience was truly unique. I was able to connect with travelers from all over the world and meet incredible fellow volunteers. The staff were always very respectful and kind to me as well. The hostel's location is perfect and, without a doubt, one of the best things about this accommodation. The tasks can be quite demanding at times, but the staff are always willing to help and lend a hand whenever needed. I found the meals to be very good, perhaps a little repetitive, but always delicious. I highly recommend this volunteering experience. Budapest is also an incredible city. 🩵🩵🩵

The hostel delivers what is promised on Worldpackers, and overall I had a good experience. The 28 hours are real working hours, with some flexibility around days off, shifts and tasks. Extra hours are available for around €5/hour. Sometimes, finishing your tasks early can lead to comments about why you weren’t given more work, which can feel unfair if you simply worked efficiently. Work is also monitored through cameras, which can feel a bit intense. The main downside is the lack of social activities. Overall, a fair exchange and a good option for a quieter six-week stay in Budapest.

My time at the hostel was a great experience. I worked mostly in the bar and it was a lot of fun. It gave me the opportunity to talk to and meet many different people. The only point to make about the volunteers' accommodation is that it could be looked with more care and love , but that doesn't depend solely on the hostel but also on the other volunteers. However, it was still an experience I would recommend! Thanks for everything :)

My experience was genuinely wonderful! I met some incredible people and had such a great time. The hostel is in a fantastic location, so you can always head out for a lovely walk in the evenings and enjoy the surroundings.
The team is amazing – always respectful, communicative, and supportive. They were consistently willing to offer flexibility and make sure everyone was comfortable with their schedules, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend this experience.

Highly recommend! My stay at the hostel was great! The hostel is big and modern. Staff is friendly, even though not all speak English. Tasks are clear and organized and they pay for extra hours, which can come in handy. You have all sorts of tasks to contribute. I worked mainly at the bar and it was a lot of fun! I could learn a lot about the job and I'll take it for life. The volunteer apartment is good and I had the chance to make new friends who I'll have forever! ❤️ Hosts were always trying to help and make our lives better. Thank you for the opportunity 🙏🏻

I first stayed here as a guest and loved the vibe so much that I decided to volunteer. Since it’s a large hostel, the work can be hard and the schedule can be unpredictable with last-minute changes sometimes. However, they are very reliable when you request specific days off. The highlights were the people and the food. Meals provided were of surprisingly high quality than I expected. The entire team—managers, volunteers, and housekeeping—was wonderful. Some staff speak only Hungarian, so a translator app is useful, and I'd enjoyed speaking Hungarian with them.

It was a good experience overall. The managers are very friendly, as is the staff, with the exception of one Chilean guy who was extremely hostile and arrogant towards me, to the point of not even returning my greeting when I said "Good morning." But I understand that sometimes people are two-faced depending on what suits them. Otherwise, it's a nice and welcoming place.
