About us

We are very travel experienced and have already worked as volunteers three times. We also spent four years traveling across Europe in a camper van. We therefore understand what makes a good, respectful and uncomplicated host–volunteer experience.

We live with two dogs in a quiet location directly at the edge of the forest and truly enjoy nature.

Location

Our home is located in Sweden, surrounded by forests and nature (we have three really lovely neighbours). The national park is about 10 minutes away by car, offering great opportunities for canoeing, hiking, camping and fishing.

Right around our house you can find plenty of berries and mushrooms depending on the season, especially in late summer and autumn.

What you can expect

A peaceful place, surrounded by forest, water and plenty of outdoor opportunities. At the same time, a hands-on project with practical building and renovation work, and insight into our life in Sweden.

We are looking forward to meeting motivated, easy-going people who enjoy working with their hands and spending time in nature.

Activities & Shift

We are mainly looking for support with practical, hands-on and physical work around the house, guesthouse and property. It is important to us that you enjoy working with your hands and ideally already have experience in renovation or construction work.

Typical tasks include:

building and completing a small guesthouse (woodwork, interior construction, simple structures)

renovation work inside and around the house (repairs, maintenance, small building projects)

general hands-on and practical tasks as needed

garden work such as mowing the lawn, maintaining garden beds, planting, and general property care

helping with outdoor seasonal projects (e.g. stacking firewood, maintaining paths, tidying up around the property)

The work varies depending on weather, season and ongoing projects. It is not a typical “routine job”, but a mix of different tasks where flexibility and a hands-on mindset are important.

Rules

We provide free accommodation and meals throughout your stay.

You will have your own private room in our house. If you are travelling with your own camper van, there is plenty of space to park on our property. We also have a nice grassy area where you are welcome to pitch a tent if you prefer sleeping outdoors.

Our home is located right next to the forest in a peaceful setting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature after work.

We prefer couples, as our projects are well suited for two people and it fits our daily life best.
We are also looking for non-smokers, as smoking is not allowed in or around our house.
If you like dogs, you will feel right at home – our two dogs are an important part of our everyday life and always enjoy meeting new people.
We look forward to welcoming open-minded, reliable and easy-going people who enjoy hands-on work and appreciate nature as much as we do.
