Description:
Volunteers contribute US$10 per day. This fee covers accommodation, three home-cooked meals per day, drinking water, and materials for farming, weaving, and cultural activities. It also helps maintain our homestay and supports community projects that preserve Karen culture and traditions. Thank you for supporting sustainable tourism and our local community.

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Program Details
Welcome to our Karen Homestay! Our volunteer program is based on cultural exchange, learning, and community living. Volunteers become part of our Karen family, sharing daily life while helping with content creation, website improvements, social media, and farm activities. You’ll experience authentic Karen traditions, enjoy home-cooked meals, learn local crafts, and contribute to preserving our culture through sustainable tourism.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers help around 4-5 hours per day, 5 days a week. Activities may include creating photos and videos, managing social media, improving our website, writing blog content, organic farming, feeding buffaloes and chickens, planting and harvesting vegetables, cooking, weaving, and joining cultural activities. Every day is different depending on the season and village life.
Rules
• Respect Karen culture, traditions, and local customs.
• Be kind, open-minded, and willing to learn.
• Keep shared spaces clean and help with daily household tasks.
• No illegal drugs or excessive alcohol.
• Ask permission before photographing or filming local people.
• Communicate openly if you have any questions or concerns.
