I had a lovely time volunteering at Scondrinon Hostel! The owners are a lovely family, who really went out of their way to make me feel at home in shkoder! Aleks was very easy to talk to and requesting specific days off/specific shift times was never an issue which I really appreciated!
The other volunteers were awesome and I was able to make a lot of connections with people living in the city over my time there. Overall a great volunteering experience and I would absolutely recommend! 🫶🫶🫶

We had a great time at the hostel! Aleks and all of his family were so friendly and welcoming :) It's a great opportunity to be in a social place, meet friends from all over the world, stay in the cutest city, and be close to nature and amazing hikes! The work tasks were nice, and the shift hours changed every day, which gave us the opportunity to explore the area at different times each day. Highly recommend!

The hostel will always have a special place in my heart! ❤️ this was the first hostel of my solo backpacking journey through europe, and i couldn't have asked for a better experience! the hosts are very kind and they made me feel at home. the work is well organized and you have enough time to explore shkodër and the amazing nature around it. i also met special people, shared talks and laughs and created memories i'll always carry with me!!!

We had a fantastic time during our volunteer placement. We want to thank Alexs, Iris, Drando, Emi, and Gjergj for their time and for showing us amazing places in Shkodër.
They made us feel right at home from day one. In fact, the experience was so great that we decided to extend our stay.
We had the opportunity to practice and improve our English a lot thanks to their patience and the other hosts.
All you need to come with a willingness to work and learn is a great start. We highly recommend this volunteer program to anyone who wants to meet amazing people.

I loved this experience! If you're looking for a place to share with many travelers, a beautiful little town, and to enjoy Albanian culture, this project is for you! The hostel is simply perfect! Rob is an excellent host and you're always surrounded by good vibes! Summer is the best time, but the place is beautiful at any time!

Rob is an incredible host, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. He was very attentive, flexible with schedules, and very consistent with everything that was agreed upon beforehand. The hostel is very quiet and the tasks are very simple, we always finished the work ahead of schedule. The room offered is a guest room, so the cleaning lady always came to clean every day. Breakfast is very basic, but it was enough for me. The hostel doesn't offer many benefits such as tours, etc., so you have to do everything on your own. It's a very worthwhile experience if you like to travel slow

I had an amazing time in Shkodër during this project and albanians people are very kind! The tasks are simple — you'll be responsible for check-ins, setting up breakfast, and cleaning the common areas. Rob, the manager, is such a nice guy and you'll definitely have fun there. Also, great opportunity to improve your english and being in the north of Albania is a great way to explore the surroundings and even visit Montenegro or other nearby countries!
