The experience

Join Hands Of Glory Children's Ministry in Jinja, Uganda, and help create lasting impact. What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details

Hands Of Glory Children's Ministry–Uganda welcomes volunteers who are passionate about serving children and communities. Volunteers may assist with teaching, homework support, childcare, sports, arts, music, gardening, and community outreach programs. We provide a friendly, supportive environment where volunteers can learn about Ugandan culture, share their skills, and make a meaningful impact. In return, we expect respect, teamwork, reliability, compassion, and a willingness to serve vulnerable children with love and dignity. Together, we create hope and brighter futures.


Activities & Shift

Daily Activities

Assist with teaching and homework support

Help organize games, sports, and creative activities

Support childcare and supervision of children

Participate in community outreach programs

Assist with gardening and environmental projects

Support meal preparation and distribution when needed

Encourage and mentor children through positive interactions


Shift Schedule

4–5 hours per day

5 days per week

Flexible schedule (morning or afternoon shifts)

Weekends free unless participating in special community events


Volunteers will work closely with our local team in a friendly, supportive, and culturally enriching environment.
