Program Details

What we value most is commitment, responsibility, and open communication. Upon arrival you will receive a complete onboarding and a procedures manual where you will learn step by step how to perform each task: room preparation, cleaning, making beds, bathrooms, laundry, organization of the storage, handling of clean and dirty clothes, use of the spaces and our guests' care.

We hope you follow these procedures, complete the assigned tasks with dedication and maintain a proactive attitude to learn and contribute ideas. If you have doubts, suggestions, or you disagree with any situation, we ask you to communicate it in a timely manner. We believe that effective communication, mutual respect, and teamwork are the basis for the experience to be positive for both volunteers, our guests and the Chusmiza community.

Rules

To maintain a safe, pleasant, and high-quality work environment for everyone, it is essential to follow the following rules:
Always follow the indications provided by the Hostal ALTUS team and maintain open communication with the rest of the staff.
Do not leave the hostel doors or the access gate open. In Chusmiza there is constant wind and, moreover, the flames could escape the premises if the gate remains open.
Smoking inside the rooms and in the interior patios of the hostel is strictly prohibited. Smoking can only be done in designated areas.
Always maintain a respectful and cordial attitude with guests, coworkers, and residents of the community.
Take care of personal presentation and maintain good hygiene, as we are in permanent contact with visitors.
Treat hostel facilities, equipment and resources responsibly, helping to keep spaces clean and orderly.
If in doubt, inconvenience or special situation arises, report to the team immediately to resolve it promptly.
Compliance with these rules contributes to offering an excellent experience to our guests and to maintaining a collaborative and respectful work environment for everyone.
