Itínera is a community project that seeks to create a space for meeting, learning and connection with the territory. Through volunteering, we invite people interested in becoming part of a community based on respect, collaboration and the exchange of knowledge. The objective is to build ties between people from different places and the cultural, natural and human roots of Mazunte, actively participating in the care and development of the space.
Volunteers are welcomed as part of the Itínera team, in an environment where they can learn new skills, share experiences and contribute to a living project. In exchange for their collaboration, we offer a yurt for one or two people, wifi, bathrooms, showers and the possibility to cook on site.
Activities:
Volunteering is organized in different areas according to the project's needs:
Care and maintenance of the place: support in cleaning the kitchen, common areas and some yurts destined for lodging when necessary. It also includes gardening tasks, especially irrigation and care of the plants.
Community organization: participation in cleaning shifts, cooking and other tasks necessary for the proper functioning of the space.
Volunteer work is carried out 5 hours a day, from 8:00 to 13:00, five days a week. It is important to be ready at 8:00 to begin the activities. Each person must use the appropriate protective equipment when necessary, work responsibly and respect their own pace.
Rules:
Respect people, the space, objects, nature, neighbors and the Mazunte community.
Keep the kitchen, the table and the common spaces clean after using them.
Do not invite external people without notifying the persons in charge beforehand.
Keep noise low after 23:00.
No drugs are allowed inside the space. Alcohol consumption must be responsible.
Comply with the assigned shifts of work, cooking and cleaning.
Ask before using tools and always return them to their place.
Use water responsibly and take care of the space's resources.
Prioritize organic products whenever possible.
