Program Details

We are Francesco and Daniela, and we manage a family farm that has been on this land for five generations. The farm sits in the heart of Puglia's Alta Murgia National Park — one of the most unspoiled natural areas in southern Italy.

We grow olives, almonds, cereals, and vegetables. We raise cows, chickens, ducks, and share the space with our dogs and cats. No pesticides. We try to be stewards of the land, not just users of it.

You work alongside us and Francesco's father Mimmo, who was born on this masseria and has spent his whole life raising these animals. There is real knowledge here — the kind that doesn't come from a book.

Afternoons are yours. Explore the Alta Murgia, visit Matera (40 min away), Alberobello, or Gravina. Use the farm gym. Rest. Read. We only ask you show up for the mornings.

Francesco runs a YouTube channel about honest travel and life in southern Italy. Daniela works in theatre, circus, and runs creative retreats. We're not a conventional farm — we're curious people who love meeting other curious people.

We offer a shared room and bathroom. Meals are shared — we cook together from what the farm produces and what the season allows.

Minimum stay: 1 week.

Activities & Shift

Morning shifts: approximately 8am–1pm, flexible with season and weather. Afternoons are free.

Activities rotate with the season:
- Feeding, watering, and caring for animals (cows, chickens, ducks)
- Vegetable garden: planting, weeding, harvesting
- Olive and almond harvest (October–November)
- Pruning (February–March)
- General farm maintenance, repairs, fencing

No prior experience needed — we teach you. What matters: reliability, curiosity, and willingness to get your hands dirty.

Rules

- Minimum stay: 1 week
