Program Details

As a volunteer, you will help children learn English through interactive activities such as games, storytelling, songs, simple conversations, reading practice, and creative lessons. We believe that learning should be enjoyable, so we encourage volunteers to bring their own ideas and create memorable experiences for the children. Teaching experience is welcome but not required. Enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and a willingness to connect with children are what matter most.
Volunteers typically spend around 3 to 4 hours each day helping with English lessons and educational activities. The remaining time is yours to relax, explore nearby attractions, enjoy nature, or experience authentic Sri Lankan village life. You'll stay with our family, share home-cooked local meals, and learn about our culture and traditions while becoming part of our community.
Your contribution will have a lasting impact by helping children gain confidence in speaking English, improving their communication skills, and encouraging them to dream bigger for their future. At the same time, you'll enjoy a rewarding cultural exchange, making friendships and memories that will stay with you long after your stay.We ask volunteers to be respectful of local customs, dress modestly while working with children, and maintain a positive, friendly attitude. No teaching certificate is required, but a basic level of English and a genuine interest in helping children learn are important.
Our program is based on learning through encouragement, creativity, and fun rather than formal classroom teaching. Every volunteer brings unique experiences and ideas that inspire our students and enrich the learning environment. Whether you stay for a week or longer, your time and energy will make a real difference of children
