Volunteering in the community was great, a little community located between the mountains, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenarios, nature and the local culture. Working in the kitchen for the staff's meal was a enjoyable and flexible task, allowing a lot of free time for ourselves. Although the location is a little bit isolated, all the facilities in the area are available for the volunteers (making our stay even better) and Min Min were pretty attentive and kind to organize/provide us unforgettable moments on our days off. Thank you very much for making our time in China so special!

It was a really good experience collaborating with the host. They were very understanding, the tasks were easy to manage, and there was always a respectful and welcoming atmosphere. Even though the location is a bit far from downtown, I think it's a great place to relax and enjoy a quieter environment away from the busy city. The space was comfortable, and I really enjoyed my stay. I especially want to thank Minmin and Joe, who made the experience even better. I'm grateful for their kindness and hospitality, and I would definitely recommend this place to other Worldpackers.

If u enjoy quiet life in the mountains, this is just the right place for u! It is further away from big cities so there is not much to do but Minmin always tries to organize things for our days off! Definitely recommend the old city of Datong!🤗 I helped take care of her 2 sons and teach them English. There were no set planned lessons, just play with them. Sometimes it is a bit difficult cause they only speak Chinese to u but if u're creative and used to kids u will get along just fine despite the language barrier! The schedule and accomodation was as advertised! Would recommend! Thanks Minmin
