Program Details

Welcome travelers to the heart of Antigua Guatemala as the face of our hostel at night! 🌋

We’re creating more than just a place to stay—we’re building a community where travelers, volunteers, and locals connect through culture, hospitality, and unforgettable experiences.

As our Night Receptionist, you’ll be the key to keeping our hostel safe, warm, and welcoming after dark.

Your Responsibilities:

Warm Welcomes: Handle late check-ins, answer guest questions, and give initial local tips to arriving travelers.

Night Ops & Reception: Keep front desk operations running smoothly, address night-time guest needs, and maintain a peaceful night atmosphere.

Bar & Morning Prep: Help with late-night bar service/wrap-up and assist in setting up the station for morning coffee. ☕️

Who We’re Looking For:

A responsible, communicative night owl who is friendly, organized, and loves making people feel at home. In exchange for your help, you’ll get accommodation, a spot in our international team, and an authentic cultural exchange in beautiful Antigua! 🌎✨

Activities & Shift

Here are two options tailored for the Activities & Shifts section, focused specifically on the Night Receptionist role:

Option 1: Detailed & Structured (Recommended)
Hours & Schedule:
Volunteers help approximately 24–30 hours per week, spread across 4–5 night shifts depending on hostel needs. Because weekends and holidays are our busiest times, night shifts will include these periods.

Training & Onboarding:
You’ll receive hands-on training covering front desk software, late check-in procedures, safety protocols, bar wrap-up, and morning coffee station prep.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Late Check-ins & Guest Care: Greet late arrivals, handle registration, and answer evening guest queries.
• Night Operations & Security: Maintain a secure, quiet, and comfortable environment for guests overnight.
• Bar Wrap-Up & Morning Prep: Assist with late-night bar service/closing and prepare the coffee station for the morning team. ☕️
• Cleanliness: Keep the reception, bar counter, and main lounge tidy and organized.
• Teamwork: Coordinate smooth handovers with the evening and morning teams.

Free Time:
Off-shift time is completely yours to explore Antigua, hike volcanoes 🌋, practice Spanish, or relax!
