Program Details

Welcome to Hostal Mil Colores, a small family-run hostel in the beautiful mountains of Boyacá, Colombia. We are looking for a volunteer who wants to experience local life, share cultures and practice languages. This is more than a volunteer position; we want you to feel part of our family. We love hiking, cycling, exploring nature, and sharing Colombian traditions. We share our home with a friendly dog and a charming cat, and our hostel is pet-friendly. My English is basic, but I am excited to learn and practice with the volunteers while helping them improve their Spanish.

Activities & Shift

Tasks are simple and depend on the number of guests. You can help with cleaning the rooms after check-out, gardening, painting, small maintenance tasks, and welcoming guests. We usually work up to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. When there is little work, we can practice languages, go hiking, cycling, or explore the area together.

Rules

We ask volunteers to be respectful, honest and responsible. Please keep the common areas clean, communicate openly, and treat everyone with kindness. We value cultural exchange, teamwork and a positive attitude more than experience. Feel comfortable with the animals and treat our pets and those of our guests with affection and respect, as our hostel is pet-friendly.
