Program Details

Welcome to Qarwa Hotel, a small beachfront hotel located in Tuquillo Beach, one of Peru’s hidden gems. Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming place where travelers can disconnect from the crowds and connect with nature, the ocean, and the local culture.

As a volunteer, you’ll become part of our small team and help us improve the hotel while learning new practical skills. Depending on the season, your tasks may include renovations, painting, gardening, decorating, maintenance, woodworking with eucalyptus, and occasionally helping with guests.

We believe volunteering is an exchange, not just work. We want you to share your ideas, learn new skills, experience authentic Peruvian beach life, and create meaningful memories. During the low season, the beaches are almost empty, the weather is usually sunny and warm, and you’ll have plenty of time to explore more than 10 beautiful nearby beaches, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and experience the peaceful side of Peru.

If you’re looking for a relaxed environment, meaningful projects, and an authentic cultural exchange, we’d love to welcome you to the Qarwa family.

Activities & Shift

During the low season, our main focus shifts from hosting guests to improving and developing the hotel. As a volunteer, you’ll help with renovation projects, painting, gardening, landscaping, small repairs, decorating, building furniture with eucalyptus wood, general maintenance, and occasionally assisting with guests when we have reservations.

You’ll work alongside our small team, learn practical skills, and have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas. This is a hands-on experience where you can leave a lasting impact on the hotel while enjoying life just a few steps from the beach. Even during winter, the weather is usually warm and sunny, and the beaches are quiet, giving you the chance to experience Peru away from the crowds.

Rules

We want everyone to have a great experience, so we ask all volunteers to follow a few simple guidelines:

• Be respectful to other volunteers, staff, guests, and the local community.
• Be punctual and committed to your agreed working hours.
• Help keep shared spaces clean and organized.
• Treat the hotel, tools, and equipment with care.
• No excessive alcohol or drug use during your stay.
• Communicate openly if you have any concerns or need time off.
• We value teamwork, positive attitudes, and a willingness to learn.
• Respect quiet hours so everyone can rest.
• Most importantly, enjoy your time here, share your ideas, and help us create a welcoming environment for everyone.
