I had the most amazing time! It was my first time really solo traveling and I couldn't have had a better experience. I didn't expect to connect with people so strongly — other travellers and well as the locals. I feel I have made friends for life. Exploring Lombok from a much less touristy perspective was amazing I truly felt part of the community. I saw the most amazing beaches and waterfalls, learned to ride a scooter, worked with children and made great friends - it was incredible. Reach out with questions! This is by far my favourite experience. This family took me in with nothing but love and made me feel so welcomed and at home. They took me anywhere I wanted to go around Lombok and taught me so much about their culture. The kids were so beautiful and will forever stay in my heart with how loved they made me feel. This is something I can never ever forget

The days at Mala and Nopy's house were incredibly fun, easy going and a perfect way to have a real local experience. The joy and energy you get from the kids at the school is amazing, so glad we can contribute even if just a little.
After school in the morning, prepare for lots of daytrips to waterfalls, monkey forest, island hoping, whatever you feel like exploring, they take you there!

I had an amazing experience with Mala and Nopy's, felt like my indonesia parents. They took us many places in Lombok from north to south. The food it's absolutely amazing, the spicy tempé and the peanut sauce were my favourite. They always make sure nothing is missing. We played cards, sing, shared stories and try to learn indonesian and sasak. The work itself is very very light we just ended up going to the local school, talk more than teach, to the nicest and kindest kids we ever met. Thank you for everything and also to Topik and Arrib (smiley) for making everything easy and funny.

This was such a beautiful experience for me! Mala and Nopy did everything to make us feel welcome and truly part of the family. They organised many activities for us and showed us so many interesting places around the island. We really felt connected to the local culture and had the chance to experience Lombok in a very authentic way. Mala also prepared amazing meals for us every day, the food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were always generous! I enjoyed all this so much that I've decided to extend my stay here. I would highly recommend this volunteering experience! ❤

I had an incredible week! I met some amazing people—big thanks to Nopy, Mala, and the others... 🫶🏻 I got to attend a local festival and experience the locals' real way of life; they took us everywhere on scooters and showed us so many spots, like waterfalls and the "Secret Gili" islands. My best memories are definitely the evenings spent playing guitar and singing together around the campfire. The best week of my entire trip! 🤩

Our stay with Mala and her team was simply wonderful! From the beginning we felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun teaching at the school or with the orphans. In addition, many great excursions are offered and the food is also very tasty! We also talked about that we would love to come back to Jesuch!

We love spending time with them, teaching English (in schools or with the orphans) and exploring Lombok's beautiful corners together. You feel like part of a big family. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience local life. I had the best time on my backpacking trip. The people, especially Mala and Noppy, take very good care of you; they try to fulfill as many of your wishes as possible.
