Paola is a very welcoming and engaging host! You have only to ask if you are in need. Each day is different (which I love) and might include varying tasks. I enjoy cooking and have a lot of practice so much of my time was devoted to the kitchen cooking up different plates. When Paola had obligations out of the house, I would have a little alone time or she would drop me off at the nearest train station for a day trip! We fell into a natural rhythm after the first week, and she would usually give me timelines for tasks if they weren't urgent. And she helped me practice Italian every day!

Being with Claudia has been very pleasant. She has also decided to extend her stay by a few days, making herself available to help me with an event. It was very kind of her.
Andrea is a smart, organized, available girl and she needs freedom and autonomy to give her best.
I will be happy if she decides to come back to me, even though, as far as I have been able to know about her, she loves to change and discover new things. Thank you, Andrea!

My first Worldpackers stay was planned for a month but ended after six days. During these days I helped with cooking, cleaning, guest rooms, cats and social media. There was no clear task list or work shift; the five daily hours were spread throughout the day. With no other staff or volunteers and little to do nearby, I felt isolated. On day six, misunderstandings over grocery bags and cats in the car led the host to shout at me and bang objects in the kitchen. I apologized and tried to talk, but the shouting escalated. I chose to leave. Disagreements are normal; aggression is not.
