Program Details

At Pueblo del Sol we aim to create a learning and cultural exchange experience, where volunteers participate in the daily activities of an agroecological farm while getting to know rural life in the Sierra de Oaxaca. Our goal is to share knowledge about sustainable agriculture, agroforestry systems, coffee, vanilla, beekeeping, and biodiversity conservation, promoting an environment of respect, collaboration, and personal growth.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers work approximately 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, in activities such as managing coffee and vanilla crops, gardens, a nursery, composting, chicken care, farm maintenance, and season-specific projects. We always strive to ensure that each activity is an opportunity to learn new skills and to understand how a regenerative farm operates.

Rules

We expect our volunteers to be responsible, respectful people with a good willingness to learn and to work as a team. We value punctuality, care for tools and facilities, respect for anyone around them, the animals and nature, as well as good communication. We want to maintain a calm, safe environment free of conduct that affects the group’s harmony. We all work together to keep spaces clean and organized.
