By joining us, you'll support a more sustainable way of living through plant-based cooking, mindful food preparation, reduced food waste, and the use of seasonal and locally grown ingredients whenever possible. Together, we demonstrate how simple, conscious living can benefit both people and the planet.

What You'll Do
- Prepare delicious satvik vegetarian meals.
- Help plan menus and organize the kitchen.
- Keep the kitchen clean, hygienic, and well organized.
- Store food properly and help minimize waste.
- Bake, preserve food, and occasionally harvest fresh ingredients from the garden.
- Work alongside residents and other volunteers to create a joyful cooking experience.

Activities & Shift

What Your Days Will Look Like

You'll contribute around 5 hours a day, mainly during meal preparation times. The rest of your day is yours to relax, explore the surrounding nature, connect with the community, join meditation or yoga sessions, or participate in other activities happening around the farm and learning centre.

Who We're Looking For

You enjoy cooking and working with others, are responsible and open-minded, and appreciate a peaceful, community-oriented lifestyle. Previous cooking experience is welcome but not required—we value enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a caring attitude just as much.

Rules

Good to Know

This is a shared kitchen, so teamwork and good communication are essential. We prepare only vegetarian satvik meals, and we ask all volunteers to respect this during their stay. The role involves standing for periods of time and occasional lifting.

If you love cooking, sustainable living, and being part of an international community dedicated to personal growth and service, we'd love to welcome you to Ananda Gaorii.
