Program Details

A Bela Vista is a family-friendly coliving space in the Algarve, created for digital nomads seeking a calm, social, and welcoming environment. During my stay in Brazil, we looked for a responsible and proactive volunteer to support the community and help guests feel at home.

The volunteer will be responsible for welcoming new guests, assisting with check-ins, coordinating the WhatsApp group, organizing social activities, and supporting the weekly community dinner. They should also help keep the common areas organized, check essential supplies, take out the trash, and communicate any issues related to guests or the property.

The role requires approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, distributed flexibly. You will have plenty of time to work remotely, explore the Algarve, and participate in community activities.

In return, we offer accommodation, access to the coworking space, swimming pool, gym, gardens, kayaks and SUPs, as well as the opportunity to live an authentic experience in an international and welcoming environment. This program is ideal for a sociable, independent, organized person with a genuine interest in building community.

Activities & Shift

Activities are flexibly distributed across the week, totaling approximately 20 to 25 hours.

The main tasks include:

- Welcoming new guests and assisting with check-ins;
- Introducing the house, the rules, and how the community operates;
- Coordinating the WhatsApp group and sharing important information;
- Organizing and participating in at least three activities per week;
- Helping organize the weekly community dinner;
- Encouraging guests to mingle and participate in the activities;
- Keeping the kitchen and common areas organized;
- Checking that bathrooms have toilet paper and other essentials;
- Taking the trash and recycling to the indicated location;
- Occasionally helping with watering, light gardening, or small tasks;
- Quickly communicating any issues with guests or with the property;
- Sharing some photos and moments of the community on social media, always with permission.

There are no fully fixed shifts, but you need to be available for guests' arrival times, for the weekly dinner, and for some social activities. The remaining time can be organized independently, allowing you to balance volunteering with remote work and free time.
