As a Social Host at THAT’S IT Hostel, your mission is simple: bring the hostel to life! You will create a fun, welcoming and social atmosphere where guests can meet each other, make friends and enjoy their stay. You will lead activities, organise games and help create memorable moments throughout the day and evening. If you are outgoing, energetic and love meeting new people, this is the perfect volunteer role for you.
Your schedule will be flexible and focused around the hostel’s social activities and events. You will:
-Welcome guests and introduce yourself as the Social Host
-Bring guests together and encourage them to socialise
-Lead fun hostel games, group activities and icebreakers
-Organise and participate in pool parties and other in-house events
-Help create spontaneous activities depending on the mood and group
-Join guests for social outings, parties or activities when required
-Work together with the Activity Manager to promote and organise activities
-Help create a lively atmosphere during evenings and events
-Encourage guests to participate and make sure nobody feels left out
-Be friendly, energetic, approachable and respectful towards everyone
-Take initiative and actively create social moments rather than waiting for guests to approach you
-Be responsible when organising and leading activities
-Respect hostel rules, guests' privacy and personal boundaries
-Never pressure guests to participate in activities
-Be punctual and reliable for planned activities and events
-Work closely with the hostel team and communicate any issues or concerns
