The new establishment has a formidable structure with admirable maintenance technology (an administrative app for scheduling and automatic task management) ensuring standardized visual presentation of the rooms across any shift. Despite the 6-on/1-off schedule, both the volunteers and the host were incredibly flexible, assisting during breaks and outlining possible improvements during the weekly on-site meetings at the facilities. My experience was very special! From the start I felt very welcomed and had the opportunity to meet amazing people, exchange experiences and truly feel the energy of the hostel. The atmosphere was light, respectful and full of learning. The tasks and schedules were well organized, and there was always room for dialogue and collaboration. More than a trade for lodging, it was an experience of connection, friendship and growth that I will carry with me.
