A place where horses, people and learning grow together
We are a small independent equestrian project dedicated to horse education, rehabilitation and training from a perspective based on understanding, wellbeing and communication.
Our project was born from a deep passion for horses and many years of experience working with them. Over time, we have developed our own methodology, which combines principles of classical training, equine ethology, learning theory, biomechanics and welfare to create a more balanced relationship between horse and human.
We work especially with horses that need a second chance: rescued horses, rehabilitated horses, or horses that were previously considered difficult, dangerous or untrainable. Some of them arrived with physical, emotional or behavioural issues and, through progressive and respectful training, have gone on to become wonderful training partners.
Our everyday life revolves around horses, but also around something we consider equally important: learning how to live together, observe, listen and understand.
Activities & Shift
### 🌿 What will you be doing?
Life here is very hands-on. Our horses depend on us every day, and keeping them healthy, comfortable and well cared for is a big part of what we do. We also look after the land and the natural surroundings that are part of our home.
Depending on your experience, confidence and the season of the year, your daily activities may include:
* Feeding and watering the horses.
* Grooming and general daily care.
* Cleaning and maintaining stables, paddocks and other horse areas.
* Mucking out and keeping living areas clean and safe.
* Checking fences, gates, water points and other facilities.
* Cleaning and organising tack and horse equipment.
* Helping to prepare horses before and after training sessions.
* Assisting with basic groundwork and handling, according to your experience.
* Keeping the surrounding areas of the centre clean, tidy and well maintained.
* Caring for our olive trees, which provide shade and are an important part of our land.
* Helping with seasonal olive-tree maintenance and, when the season allows, participating in the harvesting of olives and the production of our own olive oil.
* Helping with general day-to-day tasks needed to keep the centre, the horses and their environment running smoothly.
These are not simply chores. They are an essential part of responsible horse care, living in harmony with the land and learning what it takes to maintain a small independent rural project.
As you become familiar with our horses and our way of working, we may also invite you to observe or participate in some training and rehabilitation sessions, always according to your previous experience and under our guidance.
We believe that learning about horses starts long before getting into the saddle.
Rules
We are a small, family-run equestrian project, so we value respect, responsibility, communication and common sense.
We expect you to:
Treat our horses, animals, land and equipment with care and respect.
Follow our safety guidelines and ask whenever you are unsure.
Be reliable with agreed daily routines and willing to help proactively.
Keep shared spaces, stables and equipment clean and tidy.
Respect our home, privacy and the people around you.
Understand that rural life involves physical work, mud, dust, early mornings and changing plans.
You don't need to know everything—we value attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn above experience. 🐴🌿
