Program Details

Join us at Sæteråsen, a horse farm and riding school surrounded by the beautiful nature of Northern Norway. We are looking for a practical, experienced and self-motivated helper who can assist with repairs and general maintenance around the farm.

This program is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, likes finding practical solutions and can complete tasks independently after receiving instructions.

Activities & Shift

Your tasks may include repairing fences, replacing electric fence wires, painting, basic carpentry, mowing and clearing vegetation. You may use hand tools and powered equipment such as a brush cutter, lawn mower and chainsaw.

Most work will take place outdoors during the daytime. Tasks and working hours will be agreed in advance and may be adjusted according to the weather and current projects. You will receive instructions and priorities, but should be able to organise and complete the work independently.

Rules

Previous practical experience with tools and maintenance work is required. Chainsaws and other powered equipment may only be used if you already have sufficient experience and can operate them safely.

Always use the required protective equipment and follow our safety instructions. Electric fences must be switched off before repairs begin. Be calm and careful when working near horses and follow the farm’s safety routines.

Please look after the tools, keep work areas tidy and report any damage or problems immediately. We expect you to be reliable, responsible and prepared for outdoor work in changing weather.
