Join me on a peaceful former farm near Jüterbog. Program Details

This is a hands-on rural volunteering experience on a former farmstead near Jüterbog, surrounded by nature and close to the Fläming-Skate route. You will join seasonal work in the orchard, garden and shared outdoor areas, and see how fruit and vegetables are grown, harvested and turned into small local products. We welcome practical, independent people who enjoy outdoor work, country life and a relaxed, respectful household.

Activities & Shift

Tasks vary with the season and weather. They may include harvesting fruit, sorting and preparing produce for jams, spreads and preserves; watering, weeding and caring for the vegetable patch; garden maintenance; light cleaning and tidying of outdoor and shared areas; and occasional feeding or care for our cats. We plan tasks together and give clear instructions. A normal day combines practical work with time to enjoy the countryside.

Rules

Please be reliable, communicate openly and treat the home, tools, garden, animals and other people with care. This is a non-smoking, respectful shared environment. You must have no cat allergies and be comfortable with outdoor work in changing weather. Keep shared spaces clean, follow agreed working times, and ask before using tools or starting a new task. Basic English or German is helpful.

I'm vegetarian and if you are the same; Great. I try to keep my kitchen meet free, so if you want to engage in Vegetarian food during your stay, try it out. It's not as bad as they say :))

We are about 25 minutes away from Jüterbog itself. The only place where there are stores like so often in rural Germany. You can take a bike there, but there is also a car and someone can drive you to by groceries.
